Actually, it is not too difficult to manage a project, as long as every one of the project team knows what is going on. Apart from holding daily standup meetings and updating the Burndown chart, project managers have to track progresses of a project through lists.
1. Project progress on Dashboard
ZenTao provides an overview of projects on Dashboard->Home. You can add a block named Project List to view the progress of each project.
It is very convenient to track the progress of all the Doing projects within a company by viewing those lists. The progress is calculated according to the formula,
Total man-hour cost/ (Total man-hour cost + Total man-hour left).
2. All Projects on Project homepage
Only Doing projects are listed on the homepage. Click Project->All Project and you can see the progress of all projects.
3. Check the progress of a task
You can check the progress of tasks by labels or by groups. Click the Status labels of tasks to filter, such as Undone, Wait, Doing, etc. Or you can select a product from the drop-down list to display tasks that the product is linked to.
4. Check task progress via Tree diagram
A tree diagram is added in ZenTao 8.2.beta+. You can see stories linked to the project, the linkage between stories and tasks, and the task status.
Click task titles, and status, man-hour, and actions will display.
